We are WebDesigns, a web design and development company based in East Grinstead, West Sussex, UK. We produce bespoke web sites for clients of all sizes and levels of complexity.
So how did a web design company end up creating a CMS for other web design companies?
We wanted to install a content management system for a new client. After spending days and weeks testing CMS systems of all shapes and sizes, we kept hitting the same problem every time.
That problem was - the only way to change the design or the template of any of them was to dig into the guts of the system and modify our design to suit THEIR template files.
We found this far too restrictive, so the idea of building our own content management system was born.
After we created the CMS, we realised that there are a lot of design and marketing companies in the world who have the exact same problem, but don't have the same in-house expertise that we do.
So we decided to make our work available to you, and here it is. We are committed to keeping it up to date and current with the latest changes, not least because we use it on all the web sites that we build.
